Discover the Magic of HydraFacial
Cleanse. Exfoliate. Extract. Deliver:
HydraFacial is a revolutionary hydradermabrasion procedure that combines five essential skincare steps.
Cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection – to unveil clearer, more radiant skin. This patented technology delivers exceptional results with minimal to no downtime. The treatment is gentle, moisturising, non-invasive, and generally non-irritating. The super serums used in HydraFacial contain nourishing ingredients that instantly rejuvenate your skin, making it a popular choice for maintaining clear, healthy skin, preventing clogged pores, and giving your skin a radiant boost before special occasions. It’s no wonder that somewhere in the world, every 15 seconds, someone is indulging in a HydraFacial experience.
The Science Behind HydraFacial:
What sets HydraFacial apart from other hydrodermabrasion systems is its unique, patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system, which seamlessly integrates exfoliation, extraction, and hydration.
This process is further enhanced by the spiral design, ensuring painless extractions. HydraFacial’s complexity is made simple through the use of patented serums. The treatment begins with cleansing, followed by gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and surface impurities. Next, deeper debris is extracted using painless suction, and the skin is nourished with intense moisturisers. The final step involves infusing antioxidants and peptides into the skin to enhance its radiance. The serums can be customised to address specific skincare concerns.
Your HydraFacial Experience:
Your journey with HydraFacial begins with a comprehensive consultation with a skilled therapist.
During this session, your therapist will gain insight into your skin concerns and desired outcomes. They will explain each step of the HydraFacial experience, ensure your comfort, and prepare your skin for the treatment. For a truly tailored protocol, problematic skin conditions can be addressed with customised peel percentages and boosters, a unique offering available exclusively at Secret Aesthetics under the guidance of a skin doctor.
The Five Steps of HydraFacial:
- Detox: The treatment begins with lymphatic activation, optimising the lymph system’s ability to remove toxins from the skin.
- Cleanse and Peel: Gentle exfoliation of the epidermis (upper skin layer) eliminates impurities, including dead skin cells, preparing the skin for subsequent steps.
- Extract and Hydrate: Painless suction effectively removes deeper debris from pores, such as blackheads, makeup, and oils, followed by the infusion of an intense moisturiser to hydrate and soften the skin.
- Fuse and Protect: The skin is saturated with antioxidants and peptides to maximise your skin’s glow. Patented serum boosters are introduced into your skin, targeting specific concerns like fine lines, hyperpigmentation, or redness.
- Rejuvenate: After thorough cleansing and infusion, the treatment is completed with ‘red’ and ‘infrared’ LED light therapy, which helps reduce redness, stimulate collagen production, and support the natural production of Vitamin D.
Areas Treated with HydraFacial:
HydraFacial primarily targets the face and neck. It effectively addresses several common skin concerns:
– Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Repeat treatments can soften the appearance of lines, and when combined with other treatments like Botox, it yields superior results.
– Elasticity and Firmness: Infusing antioxidants, moisturisers, and stimulating collagen production enhances skin firmness. This complements treatments like Profhilo.
– Tone and Vibrancy: HydraFacial leaves your skin glowing, improving its tone and vibrancy.
– Skin Texture: Exfoliation and extraction result in a smoother, more youthful skin texture.
– Hyperpigmentation: Dark spots and patches can improve as impurities are lifted, and pigmentation-correcting serums are infused into the skin. Further improvements can be achieved with repeated treatments.
– Oily and Clogged Skin: A single treatment can improve acne-prone and excessively oily skin, preventing acne breakouts.
– Enlarged Pores: Pore size can be reduced, and skin tightening occurs, reducing the appearance of large pores.
Number of HydraFacial Treatments Needed:
There's no fixed limit on how often you can receive HydraFacial treatments.
For the best and longest-lasting results, we recommend a course of regular treatments. If you have a special event, a short course of weekly treatments is possible. Some individuals begin with bi-weekly sessions and then maintain with monthly sessions. To fully appreciate the long-term benefits to your skin, a minimum of one HydraFacial session per month is recommended. For optimal results, combine HydraFacial with medical-grade skincare products under the guidance of our skin doctor, Dr. Zoya.
Potential Side Effects of HydraFacial:
The most common side effect is redness, primarily among sensitive skin types.
Initial use of HydraFacial may lead to a temporary breakout, as it deeply decongests and brings impurities to the surface. Individuals with active rashes or skin conditions may experience flare-ups, and there is a slight possibility of an allergic reaction to specific serum ingredients, particularly if you have a shellfish or aspirin allergy. This is why our specialists conduct a thorough medical evaluation and, if necessary, a patch test.
Your HydraFacial Results:
The HydraFacial glow is visible immediately after treatment.
Impurities that have been extracted can be seen in the collection container. More importantly, repeated treatments lead to fewer breakouts, fresher-looking skin, enhanced plumpness, and improved hydration. HydraFacial serves as an excellent preventive measure against ageing when combined with a medical-grade skincare routine.
Aftercare for HydraFacial:
Refrain from using actives such as vitamin A-based creams and acids for at least 48 hours before and after treatment.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for the next 24 hours. Apply SPF30 or higher every two hours during daylight hours, even if you’re indoors, to protect your skin. Avoid lasers, IPL treatments, and chemical peels for two weeks before and after HydraFacial. Toxins, fillers, and skin boosters can be administered immediately after a HydraFacial, but if you are receiving injectables first, allow at least one week.
Who is Not Suitable for HydraFacial:
HydraFacial is not recommended for pregnant women.
Individuals with active skin conditions should consult their therapist for suitability. It is a highly effective treatment for mild to moderate acne, but those with severe, active nodular-cystic acne may not be eligible. The same applies to individuals with active rashes on the treatable areas or open sores and lesions, such as those caused by eczema or the herpes virus cold sores.
