The treatment itself involves precisely controlled doses of Botox administered intramuscularly across the targeted areas using a microneedle. While the procedure is typically not painful, you may experience slight stinging discomfort. Depending on the specific treatment areas, the entire procedure is usually completed within 15 minutes.
Possible Side Effects of Botox:
Following the procedure, you may experience tenderness and temporary redness in the treated area, which typically subsides within 72 hours.
Some individuals may notice a headache, usually resolving within 48 hours.
Bruising at the injection points is usually minimal but can vary from person to person. To minimise this risk, we conduct a thorough medical evaluation and recommend limiting alcohol intake for 48 hours before and after the procedure to aid recovery.
Your Botox Results at Secret Aesthetics:
Results from Botox treatment for under-eye wrinkles generally become noticeable within 4 to 10 days.
If the desired outcome is not achieved within 14 days, additional treatment may be necessary. These results typically last between 3 to 6 months. In the initial stages of treatment, you may observe some muscle movement returning after one month, which is normal. This time frame varies from person to person and may necessitate adjustments in future Botox doses. With consistent treatments over several years, clients often find they require less frequent touch-ups.
Aftercare for Botox:
To optimise the effectiveness of your Botox treatment and ensure lasting results, we recommend the following:
– Avoid lying down for 4 hours after treatment to prevent Botox migration to the orbital area, which could cause eyelid drooping.
– Refrain from touching, applying makeup, massaging, or rubbing the treated areas, including facials, for 12 hours.
– Abstain from exercise for 24 hours.
– Stay clear of extensive sun exposure and heat, such as hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms, for 48 hours.
– Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
Please wait at least 7 days before considering chemical peels, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion.
