One option for the removal of actinic keratosis is the method of Cryosurgery. During this safe, effective and clinically-proven procedure, extremely cold liquid nitrogen is used to freeze and destroy abnormal tissue. Fluorouracil is part of a group of chemotherapy drugs known as anti-metabolites, which achieve results by stopping cancer cells from working.
